3-Year-Old Preschool at the JCC: Building Confidence and Curiosity
Our preschool classes for 3-year-olds are designed to support young learners as they transition from toddlerhood to more structured early education. The program builds upon the experiences children have already gained, while laying a strong foundation for the academic and social growth that will support their future success. At this crucial age, children begin to develop more advanced skills in communication, critical thinking, and independence.
In our 3-year-old classrooms, hands-on exploration and interactive learning take center stage. The curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to engage children in activities that spark curiosity and foster creativity. Through group projects, storytelling, art, and early literacy experiences, our 3-year-olds gain essential skills while having fun in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Physical activity is a vital part of our 3-year-old preschool program. Children enjoy daily access to our outdoor playground, where they can climb, run, and play with friends. Indoors, the gymnasium offers additional space for movement-based games and activities that promote coordination and strength.
A standout feature of our program is weekly swim time in our indoor pool. This exciting opportunity introduces 3-year-old children to the water in a safe, supportive setting. Not only does it help develop motor skills and water confidence, but it also teaches water safety—an important life skill.
