Adult Enrichment Coordinator
The Adult Enrichment Program Coordinator develops and delivers cultural and educational programming while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role provides our community with opportunities to explore a wide range of cultural, educational, recreational, and social activities for adults. The coordinator helps participants learn new skills, travel, engage in discussions on current events, and more–offering a rich variety of programs that promote personal growth, intellectual enrichment, skill development, and social connection.
The Adult Enrichment Program Coordinator supports the Katz JCC’s mission to serve as a center for arts and culture by curating, developing, and executing programming such as film events, literary/author programs, music, special events, performances, lectures, and art.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to direct cultural arts and educational programs, including developing and managing the scope of events, classes, lectures, and art gallery spaces
- Cultivate lay leadership and work with committee volunteers to develop programming and increase participation
- Develop programming partnerships and coordinate with contracted programs and service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
- Create annual program budgets and manage spending on a regular basis
- Implement marketing plans to generate program participation and event ticket sales
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in an environment where situations change and adaptability is essential.
- Ability to travel to meal sites within a 30-mile range on a sporadic basis
- Strong customer service approach with the ability to interact with members, staff, volunteers, and the public in a positive, enthusiastic, and courteous manner
- Detail-oriented to ensure precise execution of programs and events
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with other staff members
- Professional appearance and ability to uphold the JCC’s appearance and dress code standards
- Strong computer, administrative, and organizational skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and customer service management software
- Good telephone skills and the ability to respond appropriately with accurate information
- Knowledgeable about the agency and its programs, with a background in Judaic culture preferred
- Work schedule: Monday-Friday with flexible hours; evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a BA degree required
- Experience supervising staff, developing schedules and class calendars, and demonstrating strong member and staff relations skills
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Planning and implementing programs, events, lectures, and adult education classes
- Fundraising and budgeting experience are preferred, and a background in marketing is a plus
- Familiarity with lay leadership and Jewish nonprofit structure is helpful
2025 Summer Camp Counselor

Custodial/Maintenance Staff (Part Time and Full Time Positions Available)
Full and Part Time custodial staff maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all facilities, including classrooms, the gymnasium, swimming pool, common areas, and offices. This role ensures a welcoming environment by performing routine cleaning, and sanitation while following safety and hygiene standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas
- Maintain pool and fitness areas, including locker rooms and equipment
- Set up and break down rooms for events and activities
- Perform minor maintenance and report facility issues
- Follow cleaning schedules and safety protocols
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment
- Basic communication skills to follow instructions and interact with staff and members
- Available to work nights & weekends/flexible schedule
Fitness Floor Associate
The Fitness Floor Associate is responsible for the implementation and administration of member safety on the wellness floor, instructing members on proper use of the fitness equipment, and keeping all the cardio and fitness equipment clean and safe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must have the physical endurance to stand for extended periods of time
- Be on the fitness floor to talk with and assist members
- Monitor the cardio, upper deck, stretch area, free weight rooms continually for member service and safety
- Be alert of new and existing members exercise techniques and be able to talk and assist members as needed
- Follow the deep cleaning schedule
- Follow and sign off on daily cleaning schedule
- Maintaining overall cleanness of machines and equipment
- Walk through of the Free Weight Room, Cardio Fitness Floor, and basketball courts every 20 minutes
- Reports to Fitness Director
Welcome Center Associate Substitute (Not a Part Time or Full Time Position)
The JCC is currently accepting applications to be kept on file for future openings and/or for substitute staff.
This Position is a key part of the JCC organization and community, ensuring program excellence and fostering program growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support, greet and assist all visitors creating a warm experience
- Support process of enrollment such as tours, guest questions and promotions available
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with community members and coworkers in person, over email and on the phone
- Manage membership accounts and access to activities including the fitness center, pool and events within the JCC.
- Ensure computer system is updated with current billing and demographic information
- Help provide a safe atmosphere for members, visitors and staff by utilizing the JCCs system for proper enrollment, check in and facilitation of emergency needs that arise
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be flexible and able to work multiple shifts as needed
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Customer service/Retail experience preferred
- Must be able to work with a computer, software packages and billing setup functions
- Must be friendly and patient with customers and able to handle multiple phone calls
- Microsoft Office software knowledge preferred (Excel, Word)
- Detail oriented and organized with the ability to multitask

Early Childhood Teachers & Assistant Teachers
The JCC is seeking qualified Early Childhood Teachers & Assistants to join our team. Candidates must be warm & friendly, reliable, patient, energetic team players. Must have strong communication skills, and love working with children. We offer a warm and friendly working environment with a lot of perks, including membership and benefits full time employees.
We offer child centered, family-oriented programs for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Educated and trained professionals bring deep commitment and a love of children to our classrooms. We foster a child’s natural instincts and curiosity by providing a nurturing, comfortable, joyful, and developmentally appropriate environment. We also support the whole family, through programs and activities designed to build community and engagement for parents and caregivers.
Lifeguard
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain the safety of patrons in and around the pool.
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
- Represent the JCC of Atlantic County by maintaining a professional attitude.
- Communicate and enforce all JCC regulations and pool rules in a personable and professional manner.
- Communicate any potentially dangerous elements of the facility to the Aquatics Director.
- Attend ALL scheduled staff meetings.
- Participate in and help facilitate staff training.
- If unable to work, find a substitute and email the Aquatics Director with sub date and sub.
- Perform patron surveillance with a rescue tube from the guard stand. Remain alert and use all senses while guarding. BE RESCUE READY
- Work as a team with other lifeguards during pool operation hours.
- Tests the water record results, and report imbalances to supervisor.
- Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
- Set up pool for various activities such as lap swim, open swim, aqua classes, lessons, etc.
- Respond to an emergency and activate EAP.
- Handle all incidents in a manner appropriate to your training. (Never give anyone medication. Recommend that all injured patrons seek professional medical attention. Complete all injury reports in black or blue ink immediately and give to Aquatics Director)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be CPR Certified; Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Skills in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical skill evaluation – 300 yard continuous swim and tread water for 2 minutes with hands under armpits.
