About the Katz JCC

About Katz JCC

Welcome to Katz JCC, the heart of the South Jersey Jewish community. Whether you’re here for wellness, education, culture, or community, we’re proud to offer something for everyone.

Our Mission

At the Katz JCC, our mission is to promote and enrich Jewish culture, identity, and values through exceptional programs and services. From toddlers to seniors, everyone is welcome here — regardless of religion or background.

What We Offer

Our Story

For more than 105 years, the Jewish Community Center has been a vital focal point of Atlantic County, serving generations of families. It’s where Jewish culture thrives, friendships are made, and futures are shaped.

From the earliest days, couples have met at the JCC, and their children have grown through the very same programs. The community has flourished in large part due to the JCC’s services — evolving through the decades, yet always keeping its heart firmly rooted in Jewish values.

As times change, so do we. The Katz JCC continues to adapt to meet the needs of today’s families, seniors, and individuals, while honoring the vision of our founders. It remains a place where people of all ages learn, play, and form lasting connections.

What Makes Us Unique

  • Early Childhood & Youth
Children benefit from our nurturing preschool and beloved Camp By The Sea, making lifelong friends and memories. Teens grow as camp counselors, join fitness programs, or explore with teen travel adventures.
  • Seniors & Lifelong Learning
Our active adults enjoy everything from mahjong and fitness classes to Jewish education, films, and book clubs.
  • Community Support & Outreach
Through our countywide senior nutrition program, we offer meals and activities at eight locations across Atlantic County — from Atlantic City to Hammonton. These aren’t just meal sites — they’re vital social hubs.
  • Partnership in Action
When the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City was at risk in 2014, the Katz JCC stepped up — providing fundraising support, leadership, and a successful summer camp for local youth. Today, the club continues to thrive — a testament to our belief in L’Dor V’Dor — from generation to generation.
